Ask a Resort: How do Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head Differ?

A new Club resort is coming to Hilton Head Island, which, along with Ocean 22 by Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Anderson Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach, will provide Club Members with two exceptional and distinct South Carolina experiences. We asked Erik Johnson, general manager of Hilton Grand Vacations resorts in Myrtle Beach: What are the differences between Hilton and and Myrtle Beach?

“Hilton Head is quiet and laid-back with a focus on nature, while Myrtle Beach is known for its activities, shopping and entertainment. Both locations appeal to families,” Johnson said.

“Myrtle Beach has more than 100 golf courses and 1,600 restaurants, whereas Hilton Head has about 20 world-class golf courses and more than 250 restaurants, farmers markets and gourmet shops. If you’d like to make a trip visiting both, it is about a 4.5-hour between the two, and the most scenic route is Highway 17 through Charleston.”
