If you love to fly and rack up miles in the sky but prefer to do so without leaving your car parked at the airport, then the recent announcement between JetBlue and Lyft, the taxi alternative company, may be of interest to you.
By taking Lyft to the airport, riders can earn rewards through JetBlue’s TrueBlue program before takeoff. Travelers who sync their Lyft and TrueBlue accounts will earn up to 30 TrueBlue points per qualifying airport ride, up to 1,200 TrueBlue points per year. New Lyft users who sign up through the car hailing company’s promotion with JetBlue will receive 750 TrueBlue points or a $15 Lyft credit on their first qualifying ride.
As an extension of this promotion, travelers will see a new Lyft pick-up and drop-off area at Terminal 5 at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, JetBlue’s main airport hub. While you’re at T5, make sure to check out world’s first blue-potato farm in an airport, a collaboration among JetBlue; GrowNYC, an environmental and local agriculture nonprofit; and Terra Blues, the vegetable chip served onboard JetBlue flights.
